Getting to Coombs Country Campground is part of the adventure. Located in the heart of central Vancouver Island, the campground is easy to reach from the mainland and makes a perfect base for exploring the Oceanside region.

From the Mainland

Travelers coming from the mainland can take a ferry from either Tsawwassen Ferry Terminal or Horseshoe Bay Ferry Terminal with BC Ferries. Popular routes include Tsawwassen to Nanaimo (Duke Point) or Horseshoe Bay to Nanaimo (Departure Bay). During the busy summer months, ferry reservations are highly recommended to ensure a smooth trip.

Driving to the Campground

Once you arrive in Nanaimo, the campground is an easy 30–40 minute drive north along the Island Highway toward the village of Coombs. The route is straightforward and scenic, passing through forests and coastal communities along the way.
